What you are looking at is my third seat that I have extended about 3" It uses all the stock mounting points. This came out of my 40th anniversary 97' LC that had 170k miles. Nicely taken care of. I can't recall if I put a new gear in this one or not, but I know it worked fine. I mentioned it is my third one, so you know this is a tested method, and this is my favorite as it does not extend the rear bracket further into the pass area.

I made this to put in my car, then switched to use some Porsche seats, so this needs a new home.

$200 and that includes shipping to the lower 48.

If you plan to recover your seats, I also have the seat foam in good condition, and I already have seat heaters installed with all wiring needed. $100 more for those plus shipping. Upper has 40th leather on them now.

I also have the passenger seat all completed with seat heaters. $100 plus shipping.

Install is really easy, and I can point you in the right direction.

The seats were from a 40th, so are the two tone clearly. The drivers side bottom leather was split, so I took it to a shop to repair. They took it apart then could not find leather, then it was more $$, so that is what led me to the rabbit hole of Porsche seats, and I have these seats to part ways with.

I have a complete passenger side as you see in the picture, and driver has seat back complete and seat bottom has no cover. (well, really it has a cover that is in pieces.)

All the foam has been repaired (the corner where you get in and out typically is damaged. I replaced a section with foam from the third row seats that I cannabalized) and i typically put more foam on the wear corners, which is done. Seat heaters installed on both seats. Of course the seat extensions are made on the driver.

So, there are many ways you can do this.

if you like the 40th leather, get everything and then get a seat cover replacement for the driver bottom.

If you just want the extended seat, buy that and swap it out on yours.

Sold.

I just pulled the seat out of my other rig, FOO, so I have another extended seat setup if anyone is interested.

Seat leather was not in great condition, so I had seat covers on these seats. They do have seat heaters, which I will send all the wiring for them.

I have driver side which is extended and also the passenger side which is not extended.

$250 for a heated extended driver seat. $200 for heated passenger seat.

Great question was asked about how hard is it to install these.... well here is the answer I have.....

I should mention, that I just replaced the gears on these seats last year. Thanks Gramativi (hoping spelling does not count)

You have options.

1. you install this seat all together. 4 bolts, the one stock wire for power to gears, add the wiring (and switches) for the seat heaters. done.

2. if you have good leather and foam, you can just swap out the bottom assembly. To do that you have to separate the bottom foam/leather from the frame and gears. That takes four more bolts on the bottom (that connect the foam seat part to the gear/track assembly and four that attach the bottom to the top seat back (and the knob for the lumbar on the driver side). Also you have to remove some of the leather hog rings to get to the four seat bolts that attach top to bottom. as well as pop off the controls on the bottom section. All of this can be found on the instructions for replacing your leather. Downside of this is that you will not have the seat heaters if you do this method.

3. Finally, the most involoved, take off your good leather (or buy new leather) and put onto these frames/foam.

still have these for sale. Shipping will be about $80 to $100
