6. How the truck is used: daily drive and always mud-hungry
Since a couple of months I own a Lexus '97 LX450, e-lockers on board. I shipped it over from the US to The Netherlands. I love the machine, couldn't find a decent 80-series over here, wandered around on
eBay one night... and bought this LX. I took a gamble.
The gamble resulted in some surprises but in general this LX is a great buy. It was a 100% stock version. Tires were gone till the bone, rims were badly corroded. So, work had to be done!
Photo of original state:
Rims had to be powder coated and new tires were a necessity.
On this picture the tires have been put back on.
Then I discovered this forum and had a great laugh about someone's remark on running boards: "if your mother in law needs to get in your truck, buy a stool!". Excellent. I removed them right away

.
Of course you all know these cars are thirsty. Over here petrol prices are sky-high. I want to use the car as a daily drive so I had an LPG conversion done. You can see a Youtube movie of the system here:

Then a friend of mine asked me to come along to Fursten Forest in Germany. It's a huge 4x4 park where you can really enjoy yourself. I sure wanted to come along but needed a lift kit prior to departure. Bought my self a 2" OME kit and had a nice day with the installation. The truck now looks like this:
For the (near) future I plan on mounting a snorkel. Also some rock sliders would be awesome.
I have already had a tremendous amount of insight and help through this forum. I hope to be able to contribute a few percentages of what i gain here. Thank you all!
