80 series rear cargo area space

Just curious the width between the fender wells in the cargo area. I will be getting one in the next week and I have some plans but trying to get an idea before it gets here. Thanks

According to my tape measure, 44” between them, and 59” when measured on top of them

This narrows to 54" at the rear opening IIRC.
