Long Ranger 43.8 Gallon Aux Tank (new, never installed with a few scratches)
OEM Filler Neck
George Transfer Circuit Module
Fitment Kit with Instructions
Now $900.00

Buyer to source OEM sub tank switch, pump and sending unit.

I thought the long ranger tank replaces the main tank? Is this really 44-gallons behind the rear wheels?

Yup, sits right where the spare goes/was in my case. You almost need airbags for the added weight lol. But the extra range is great.

curious how much the tank weighs in total, 44 gallons of gas is about 290 lbs, damn that's a lot of weight.!!!

Tank weighs in at 45kg which is close to 100 pounds. I've spoken to a few guys that run these at 1/2 full and top them off for the long hauls. Additional information available here:

Correction: the tank holds 43.8 gallons or 166 liters not 44 gallons as advertised. Thanks.

Didn't mean to nitpick. I could have sworn you mentioned a 36 gallon capacity. I was interested and started searching online to see what options were available for the 80 series.

I can't believe it either. What a smoking deal! I love mine; I can make it to the family property in CO without having to stop for fuel and still have a few gallons left... YMMV with gas

It may be that guys are comparing it to Man A Fre 38 gal tank. For just over $100 more you get 6 less gallons, but don't need to source the switch, pump and sending unit. Not sure what those items cost.

Still a nice set up for the right buyer. GLWTS
