it's not funny to shop for an 80 and not buy one, but it's less funny when da man takes your house bc you try to bring a 40 back to life while modding/wheeling said 80.

ghhaaa i need some dead fish now.

Wait... so you bought a 99 4Runner? How's that any less of a project rig than a 95-97 cruiser? Hell, now you gotta go join tacomaworld! LOL.

What he said.
If you want to make a 99 runner do what an 80 can, you are looking at a whole lot more money. An 80 is one of the easiest rigs to make capable on the trail and DD.

Lil mo lift & lil mo tire ..done.
JP ( Domek) went pretty much everywhere we did with 285's in moab.

Fellas yall not hearin me......it's a DD, 2WD. so I can spend money on tha 40.....I didn't buy an 80 for exactly the reasons yall are proving....i'd immediately start mods and doing stuff I don't have time or money for so I have a nice toyota DD that's easy to fix and has a little more gas mileage. Now I can get my 40 in running shape as opposed to the volvo sucking up all my extra cash.

I still travel alot and it didn't make sense to put alot of miles on an AWD 80 with worse gas mileage so I bought my 5th 4runner....but there is no rule against selling it later if my job changes or I see the right one!!

Good call Shush.

your just saying that cause you know im holdin out for yours!!!!

yeah im happy.....it was kind of a painful realization but I know myself too well.

Who did you buy the 4runner from?

I totally understand. When you have more than one project vehicle, you end up splitting limited funds between two rigs. My 80 is not, and will not be for sale. There, I said it

ok guys start your bids......i give it 2 months and he will sell it!! and probably keep that trailer in his sig line.

yeah i would have never gotten the 40 going with an 80 to build

Who did you buy the 4runner from?

net auto on 49...I sent you a pm.....hated to take business elsewhere than CIA but they had exactly the color, year, etc. I was looking for and it had a clean history.

Pics or it didn't happen!

Stop screwing up the 80 thread. Chat in the chat thread, or start you own "build thread."

next thing i buy/build will go fast.. a diesel to me is just for a tow rig. Don't get me wrong.. It Would be cool to have one, but i aint paying a premium for it. Would love to have a BJ70 or any BJ for that matter.

terryjmatthew has supercharged his fair share of 3rd gen Runners. Supercharged SAS would be a-oh-tay.
