Fusible links son. Act like you've owned an 80 for more than a year.

haha. I hear ya. LX450 sat for 6 or so weeks while doing some work on it. Always ran perfectly. Interested guy comes to take a look at , and it wouldn't crank. Battery was fully-charged, turned over fine, but wouldn't fire. He drove out of the parking lot, and it fired up immediately. My 80 gremlins must've gotten bored with me and moved over to your house!

Do you know the part number?

Onur back in the dealership again?

Bossman touched my 80 so all is well.

fusible link was part of the trouble shooting. Bossman pulled the main fuseblock from his parts 80 brought it with him when he came to town. Hard to get parts on a Sunday. Thanks Bossman.

Removed positive side wires to clean off corrosion.
Part in question is the small black box marked "main" (marking is on other side of the box- not visible in this pic though)

I'm cornfused. What you're pointing to IS part of the fusible link(s), so that was the issue? cool!
Them lil wires break easily and can connect some days, move and not be connected other days.

I don't think the fuseable link was the problem this time. Just less than ideal connection on the pos post. Like most of us, a stack of ring connectors under a wing nut on the pos term. Just loose enough to not provide enough amps to the starter. Run it a few days and see if it gives any more problem and check to make sure the wing nut stays tight.
