Can you post some more pics? Interior and undercarriage. More history and some detail would also be great.

Thanks.

Sent a pm and email to make same request for pics details etc. Sure has the apperence of an access door of some sort, really hope thats not the case!

Hope so.

Anyone familar with what was typical in that period?

Except for the incorrect wheels, aftermarket tank, the cat door, the brush guard, the wrong air cleaner, the wrong brake booster, the wrong radiator (mentioned, though the pics look correct), missing AIR system, other emissions missing?, carb fan works?, tweaked fender lips and running board, missing bumperettes, patched CB antenna hole, hole in the cowl, weird mirror location (?), probably mirror mounting threads ripped out of the door?, fugly rear-seat harnesses, grab bar grafted onto the dash...

The floors look great and the lack of rust around the sill is almost unbelievable. It's not worth $13k though. If I was in the market, I'd say it's worth around $9k. If you fixed all the above issues that are fixable easily without painting and put new brakes and bushings, maybe $11k ebay price.

While you're mentioning best-ofs, a '78 is the only year to have 4:11s and fine-spline pinions. The rear vent windows started in '77.

I'd love to have some parts off of it.

I didn't realize that the rear vent windows started in 77". Thanks for pointing that out.

I might be willing to sell the hardtop & the front/rear doors for the right price. I only drive it on nice days with the top and doors off. I would keep it if someone wanted the top and doors and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. The top and doors are rust free....

I think its a nice cruiser. However its not original in many ways, it does seem like a good drive around town cruiser. However I would not drive it without the rear bumpers, they are great in a wreck, as my son just found out. mike
