why not just get larger tires for the rubber overdrive, alot easier and cheaper. 40's aren't really the best vehicle for lots of highway driving anyways.

Just stumbled upon this, what is rubber overdrive?

Bigger tires. Putting larger diameter tires than stock affects your final drive ratio. A 2.5" lift and 33" tires would qualify as rubber overdrive for an early rig with 4.11 gears.
