Just discovered this forum and thought....eh, why not. I wasn't looking last November when I ran across this little orphaned family owned truck. "Uncle Paulino" owned it since new and it was sitting in a storage yard since 2004. Got it running and driving, rebuilt and lowered the suspension, replaced the floor pans, restored most of the interior (so far) and am in the middle of replacing the slant 6 with a 440 backed by a 727 trans with a Gear Vendor overdrive. Should be fun.

Oh yeah. It's been thorough a bunch! I forgot I had posted about it. 440 .060 over, 10.5/1 compression, steel crank, Mopar cam, Holley Sniper EFI and Hyperspark ignition, 727 Auto with Gear Vendor overdrive. Installed a 67-72 GM truck EFI fuel tank from Holley and hid the filler behind the taillight. Sprayed Rhinoliner under the cab and in the front fender wells. Tubular upper control arms, Dodge van lower control arms. Still need to finish my Vintage Air system and build a 4-link for the rear, it just won't hook up :p It's fun to drive!

Hope ya kept the Slant! Worth $$ today😉
I did for a bit and held firm on my price. It did sell though. What a great engine it was. I kept waiting for it to throw a rod but man it would just wind up and go. I remember that we had those in our aircraft tow tractors on the flight line in the Air Force. Great engine!

Yes, lot's of space, although the headers were still a bear. The Sniper is rated at 800 CFM. 4 ea 100lb hr injectors. At 3500+ RPM this thing really starts to pull hard.
