Sorry about the CAPS. I typed the whole thing without looking up.

NEXT ON MY HIT LIST IS P/S. I HAVE ACCESS TO A SCOUT POSSIBLY AND I AM HAVING TROUBLE DECIDING SCOUT VS 60 VS SAGINAW. WHICH ONE? IM ALSO CORNFUSED BY PICS SHOWING SOME ON THE OUTSIDE/INSIDE OF THE FRAME BY SHOCK TOWER AND SOME ON THE INSIDE VIA CROSSMEMBER TUBE AT THE END OF THE FRAME. WHICH IS WHICH OR ARE SOME BEING MOUNTED INSIDE UNCONVENTIONALY(PLATE WITH FUNKY SPACERS) ON INSIDE OF FRAME. I HAVE A SBC WITH THE BIG NASTY SPIDER LOOKING FENDER HEADERS (SHAFT CLEARANCE). IM NOT IN A HURRY BUT I WOULD LIKE A "GROCERY" LIST IF ANYONE HAS ONE. GOAL IS TO GET RID OF CENTER ARM. IVE SEARCHED THE TECH SECTION BUT I THINK IT IS WAY EASIER TO TALK WITH SOMEONE WHOS DONE IT AND BE ABLE TO PUT MY EYES ON IT.

My 40 has a Saginaw on it. I didn't do it but your welcome to look at it for ideas.

60 series. I like Toyota parts a lot better than GM.

I'll do another 60 series steering conversion on my 45 when I get to welding on the frame. I'm REAL happy with the 60 series steering on Dad's 40. It's not "one finger" light, but I like a little force on the wheel. But it is plenty light, wheels real nicely, and no bad habits on the highway.

If I were to do it again, I would use a generic/hotrod steering U-joint and shaft setup and modify the stock steering column. The U-joints are more compact than the 60 series intermediate shaft that I used, and finding and modifying an FJ-55 steering column is too much work.

Custom relay rod from Front Range Off Road, but there are plenty of options out there for this.

LOTS of pictures of it in the build thread (linked in my signature) in the diesel section.

I have saginaw on my 40 too. that's the inside the front frame horns through the front crossmember. the 60 and scout boxes mount up higher on top of the frame by the shock tower. IIRC, 1 mounts inside the frame and 1 outside. you may not have room for saginaw with those headers. mine comes awfully close to the stock manifold on mine.
ford shock towers can make room for the 60 and scout boxes. I actually have those on mine too for other reasons.
