Is the chassis on the short bed stock length? Im too lazy to go out measure my troopy.

In 1984 Toyota introduced an
all new model to directly
replace the aging 24 year old 40
series. That model was the 70
series. The 2nd longest running
Toyota model and still in
production. Over the years,
Toyota has produced a number
of different varients. ( None of
which were ever sold in the
United States. ) This page will
describe each of those varients,
of one of the best off road
vehicles ever produced, in
detail.

At least we get the $80,000.00 behemoth commonly seen at the local country club. :)

Yes, but think of all the Tacomas, Tundras, Sequoias, 4 Runners, Highlanders, FJCs, 80s and 100s they would not have sold if the 7X family had been Federalized and imported. Not to mention Heeps, Tahoes, etc. that would have been supplanted by 7X Toyotas if available. Oh, what a feeling!

Yes the chassis on the short bed is an unmodified chassis and is factory length. For the long bed trucks the chassis has to be modified.

In a month and a half I will have yet a third variation to measure......actually two as I didn't want it to be alone in a container!
