Well in another thread the debate came up weather a long bed 75 crew cab truck would have more rear seat leg room than a short bed 75 series truck. Just so happens that I have access to both versions so lets do a little measuring and comparing!

Up first is the short bed 75 Series.

Next is the Long Bed 75 Series. Not only does the long bed offer an inch more from the B pillar to the seat, the back rest also sits farther back due to cab design. Don't think an inch is much.....ask the ladies!

I didn't see the conversation you mentioned, but what are they? To my knowledge there were no 75 dual cab. Are these two variants made by a company in SA I heard about that did the dual cab conversion?

Both rigs are SA Crew Cabs.

I checked the rear leg room on my HJ75 and it averages 1" to 1.5".

I will get the wheel base in the morning. In SA you don't need a 77 Series to make a crew cab as all is done by hand for the crew cab portion. I also had a 45 series short bed made..... And yes very embarrassing that the 75 Series look better than there newer version. But it is a hard choice between the 75 and 45 series!

I just put my passengers in the rear bed and throw a tarp over them. No one is the wiser. :)

Or you could upgrade with some take-outs from a Subaru Brat

Had toyota come up with that work of art by themselves they might have not had so much competition today. Had they been available, I can imagine having my first (camping) memories in one of those instead of the old man's fj55!

For the Long Bed:
WB is 162 inches
Length is 21 feet

For the Short Bed:
WB is 126 inches
Length is 17 FT
