I have a 75 series 1hz fitted with a turbo set up from a 1hdt running 12psi and im about to fit an intercooler. Do i need to get a retune straight away or will it be fine to run as is with out any issues?

Cheers

My tune is fairly spot on i think. Exhaust temps get to about 550deg full steam up hills 600max if i really push it and about 450deg along flat/small slopes on the highway

Are those exhaust temps pre or post turbo? I hope pre?

Yep, if it's in the manifold or the dump pipe.

If it's in the dump pipe (after the turbo) yes, they're very high. The temperature drop across the turbo is virtually impossible to calculate, so the general consensus is to drill and tap the manifold, and for a 1HZ, limit the temp to 620 degrees Celsius

Ok well as i said those are the max temps that it get to with me working it. Not the normal running temps

Those look like safe temperatures. The intercooler will drop them 150-200f (sorry I run a F pyrometer)

You could leave it or get a retune it's up to you if you want a bit more power.

Do you have a boost compensator on your pump?

Yeah i asked a couple of mates who are quite familiar with 1hz turbo and they have said that mine is running at a good temp and those max temps i stated were safe. 200F is about 93C so that will be around a 3rd of the current running temperature.

Im not sure about the boost compensator. Probably just the standard pump
