7/74, can't find the yellow black wire for the oil pressure switch. were does it come out of the firewall? I've got the gauges out, and have the wire there, but its not coming out anywhere I can find. is it out the driver side, or in the middle where the temp wire comes?

I cut open the harness on the driver side a few inches down from the firewall, but I may need to go up higher, I didn't see it. someone has moved the alt wiring around there, and rerouted it back thru the firewall over to the pass side. maybe they cut off the oil p wiring at that time?

I'll cut into it further sunday and find it I guess. just wanted to make sure I was looking in the right place. I have 2 72's here, which should be wired the same but they're both missing the wire to it as well. one is original and one is a v8 so who knows.

If you wanted to, you can push the grommet inward an move the wiring into the cab. What I learn is, label the ends, it's be much faster when you decide to put it back to together. Mine had a burnt circuit. Somehow the previous owner connected the wrong switch connector and shorted it out and left it like that. So I moved the wire loom inside and disconnected the all the switches inside the cab. While doing it this way I was able to replace burnt wires and after further inspection I found a cold solder joint to the same circuit. It sounds like a lot of work but it so much easier to figure out and where to check.

Figured it out. The wire was run thru a vacuum tube, and the wire end broke off. Couldn't figure why the washer hose was in the harness.
