188 holes spot welds (inner and outer --376 if you want to count it that way..) later............ Ready for bodywork now. I'd like to kick the previous owner in the nuts....

which hp ls3 did you decide to go with? thank you

I chose the 430hp engine. Without a slush box to "lose" a little power/torque, I figure this will be adequate to spin my 35-37" tires. I had plenty of power in my last FJ40, and it had a old rebuilt/balanced 350, so I figure this will be more than enough
 
Just heard the rest of my axle parts will arrive tomorrow - thank you Front Range Offroad.

I believe it's ready to get back into Trail Tailors queue/work schedule now that we have everything for steering, suspension, engine/tranny/tcase. This will seem boring after all the coil conversions he's been doing!
 
Looking like some EXTREMELY clean welding/fabrication! Love seeing my 40 making progress...thanks for the update Jason!!
 
Are those diamond axles for Toyota thirds? And would you please comment on the front springs? Thanks.
