Is the 73 series taxed as a car or truck ?

Should be as a car, though it is up to the discretion of the customs agent a lot of the time. I highly doubt it would be a truck though.

It’s based on the HTS code. Use the code for a car on your import docs and you’ll get taxed for a car.

It would be a passenger vehicle, so 2.5% import duty on arrival.
