We have spent nearly 3 days trying to get the brakes on this FJ to work.
1. We rebuilt the master cylinder and could not get the brake system to build pressure.
2. After many hours rotating from wheel to wheel we realized that one of the drivers side wheel cylinders was leaking.
3. Got 4 new wheel cylinders and replace all 4 up front
4. Still could not get it to build pressure, so we bought a new Master Cylinder and still cannot get it to work.
5. There are two bleed valves on each front wheel, but there is only 1 bleed valve on each of the rear wheels, we feel as though there is air in the system due to only having 1 bleed valve in the back

Any ideas or tips to bleed the backs since there is only 1 bleed valve back there? Or any other ideas.

These brakes are killing us!

1) did you Bench Bleed the master cylinder(s) ?
2) stop calling it an FJ.

Maybe try isolating the different wheels by carefully pinching off the soft lines. You should be able to at least isolate the front from the rear to see if that helps diagnose where the problem lies.

How tight are your shoes adjusted? They need to be really close to the drums to bleed properly.
