Well, after my 55 started to have a hard time with cold starts, and hesitating on take off,I've decided to give the carb a rebuild. Not sure if the carb has ever been gone through, but my guess is that it has probably been a while.Bought a rebuild kit from Kurt,so here I go.This is my first Toy carb rebuild,so any advise would be appreciated.Should I be extra careful taking anything apart,so I dont have springs or pins or? flying out. Thanks IPPS

Did you get the little springy clip and both check balls out? Sometimes they get stuck...

jets

Yes Pighead,I did get the small ball out.Had to get down in there with small needle nose to get the spring out,and the ball fell right out,I got lucky. All the jets new and old match up,but I only got 1 slow jet in my rebuild kit.Where should i put the new slow jet(primary or secondary).Soaked it over night, washed it all down, and dried everything with comp. air and blew all all lines out.I heard it is best to do the cleaning twice,so Ill let it sit for another night, and put it all together tomorrow.

holy crap! whats next doctor?

back together

Let it soak for a second time today, but couldnt wait another night, and started the reassembly.Everything went together nice, and no extra parts when i was done.I took tons of pics and wrote down all the jet #s and where they went.i can see how someone could get confused with all the parts, but with the pics and notes I took along the way, this rebuild was a piece of cake. Now hopefully the 55 will run like a champ.
