Dylan-I looked at the pictures again. Did you end up finding some FJ62 rear springs? Yours look like FJ62 springs already. The visable difference is the non-tapered leaf in #3 position in the pack.

They are stock fj60 springs with a short add a leaf that sucks ass. I have something planned for the rear soon. . . *cough* 63" chevys *cough*. I did order an aussie locker and ruff stuff cover for the rear though. . .

YEEEEEAAAAAAY!:bounce::bounce2::bounce::bounce2:
Lockers are FU*KING AMAZING inventions...
UN-believeable the difference they make!

I was wondering...are the ends of the sliders capped? so that dirt and water can get in? or do you have to cut a 1.75 circle out and weld it shut?

I made those exact sliders last night and have yet to cap the ends. (need a hole saw)

Yes, They are capped.

Dynosoar :zilla:

My sliders are 1 3/4 .120 wall DOM like those and they held up great at GSMTR for me, i would doubt those TG sliders would be any different.

They do look good, but wouldnt bolt on jobs be better? I mean what happends when they get hammered, bent busted etc etc. Youre going to have a hard time getting them off.

Again, not knocking Marlin. The guy is great. Its just that I think THIS design is superior in its functionality, and in its repair. See how the mount is the width of the frame. And see how the arm is traingular shaped. Both of these things will help prevent torque leverage movement of the slider up into the body.

Just a thought.

How much MOOLAAAAH for those?

If the tube sliders get messed up, you take a sawzall and cut them off. Whats hard about that?

I do agree that triangulation is good, thats why my outriggers are gusseted. I think it wouldnt hurt to throw a gusset or two on those marlin sliders.

Mine came yesterday!
I was doing the prelim. fit, and found they wont work on the DS cuz of that FUC*KING exhaust!!!
Im getting quotes on getting that POS re routed!
Ive had it with that!

BTW, mine came with gussets!

won't the u bolts stretch?

interesting rock lights.

got any pictures of that thing on the trail?

Not his truck. Thats pismo jims truck. He was just being pessimistic about someone else's truck again.

100% sure you could cut the sliders off before you could unbolt them...

I bring up a realistic point of question and Im being "pessimistic" about someones truck?

I believe I did say that they looked good, and that I was not knocking Marlin. The guy is great. Apperently a person cant bring up a point without being critisized.... Hmm.

Aw, you guys know that we all love you both equally...lets not get this thread going in a different direction!

As for the Marlin/Trail Gear sliders...they rawk! Gussets already are available with the optional plate kit. When I had my FJ Cruiser I TORTURED my Trail Gears and they always held up. No dents or bends (and I tried as I drove through a rocky river). The DOM tube is good and stout.
As of right now Ive got two sets of these sitting in the garage. Unfortunately it looks like the set I bought for my truck isnt gonna work...but the 62 will get suited soon enough!
