Not baiting people, just my opinion. My mom bought an 1994 FZJ80 after I had my 60. I have driven hers long distance for various reasons and found I hate the interior. All the cars I have owned have had wide open, simple interiors and thats what I prefer. I even like my wifes Range Rover Classic over long distances more then the 80. I am always attracted to 80s I see, but I jump in and I am like "ugh".
Offroad? Yeah, the 80 is more capable stock to stock. But not enough to make me give up what I like in the 60 (simple to work on, manual tranny in the US, interior, no body moldings for me to remove) for an 80.
Sometimes owning a truck isnt about specs on paper, its about what YOU want to drive.
