1. Year and model: 1988 FJ62
2. Owner: David
3. Name of vehicle: The Blue Ox
4. Mileage: 117k
5. Modifications: Chevy 350 swap done by previous owner through Over the Hill 4WD in Oregon, throttle body fuel injection, slightly obnoxious (non-muffling) resonator, more to come as I learn the do's and don'ts from these forums
6. Use: primarily tooling around town until it's more reliable
7. The debut shot

170k
Mods: just getting it back to reliable now. Derusted, painted, fuel system replaced rebuilt carb, 3 point rear seatbelts for the kids. More to come. It’s been in the family since new but sat behind the in-laws house for the last 10 years rusting away.
Use will be a fun vehicle tooling around town

Hey Matt - very clean looking rig. How'd you do the three-point seat belt conversion? I've got some gnarly original lap-belts back there that I was planning to replace...but maybe an upgrade makes more sense.

Thanks - David

love the smurf blue.
Thanks man - it certainly draws attention! Most of the older cruisers up here are pretty rusted out thanks to the liberal applicaiton of salt that MNDoT uses, so anything that isn't oxidized kind of stands out. I got lucky that this one spent the first thirty years split between Oregon and Florida.

-1984 FJ60 body with 2H diesel
-Aaron D
2450 miles
-Mods- just installed 17 SCS Ray10s wheels, just ordered front runner slim 2 roof rack.
Soon ARB with 8274 winch, 4x4Lab rear tire carrier.
-100% my daily driver. Will probably put 12-16k miles a year on it.

Do you push those 37's with a 3FE & 440? My 4:88s seem challenged by 35's. Speedo is closest it's been since the gear drop tho
