So far stock... This is my second fj. The first one was a 1970 fj40 with a SBC conversion. This beautiful blue girl is gonna stay true to her Toyota roots. Plans on building her into a purpose built adventure type rig for my lady and I to do some fossil hunting. I'm super stoked to find this site. Thanks for all the great info!!! The wifes new ride. 1984 found this rig in Long Beach Ca. Plans are replace the motor ( which I already have ) OME lift, 33'' AT's, custom front bumper, and at some point roof rack/ ARB rooftop tent. The motor in it now has 365,000 miles runs just smokes like a freight train. I couldn beleive how clean this was when we found it.

I was riding my bicycle from work one day and saw her on someones street. Left a note and we worked out a deal and I took her home for only 1500 dollars!! Been sitting around for the last ten years. I live in the in the north west coast of California where the weather is nice but with the fog and ocean being a few blocks away, can make things rusty. The roof line has rust..hence the temp tape hack. Ill get to that some day. Right now it needs new tires, knuckles rebuilt, and a clutch eventually. Other than that she runs great and cleaned up nicely. I can't tell you how much this site has helped me thus far! stoked to finally have a FJ and be a member!
Planning on getting steelies and hub caps with either BFG 30x 9.5 or Yokohama 742 s ( anyone have these on their rig??)
