60 series exhaust manifold horn rings and springs

Just got my manifolds resurfaced and I’m the process setting them back up. Does anyone have info on where the spring (#15 on attached image) for the exhaust manifold “horn” slip joint goes? Mine had rings in both channels on each side and no springs when I went looking (soot trail on manifold gasket showed the joints were leaking).

The springs go underneath the rings from what I recall. Springs push the rings outwards to help seal.

Ok, that makes sense. I’ll take a look and see if they’re there. Thanks for the help. I couldn’t find any info on it anywhere.

I was given a complete intake/exhaust manifold for a 78 FJ40. The only problem I see,is the front part of the exhaust is loose.I need to get numbers 15 and 16 from sor.It says it's a spring(15). I can't find anything in the service book or Haynes. This is suppose to bolt up to my 74 F engine. Anybody ever done this? Thanks!
