60 series ARB bumper on an 80?

Frame horns are different, shape is very different. You could make it work, but for the fab expense you'd be close to just buying an 80 series bar.
91 would be an FJ80, should work.
The frames between the 62 and FJ80's aren't that similar are they? And the extension of that question would be what is the difference between the frame horns of the FJ80 and the FZJ 80? If there is no difference between the FJ80 and the FZJ80 frame horns and the 60 series bull bars fit.... then why does ARB specify a difference?

Oh I have no idea yet if the ARB was actually ON an 80 yet...or if the guy just had his truck year wrong....
It could be that it fit......or maybe he modified it to fit.....
I'll post back up once I get it figured out if it was on an 80 series or not yet...

DAMN!
I just got a call back, he said he sold the bumper already...
I asked him about it and he said it was originally on an 88, and he ended up putting it on a 92 LC. I asked if he had to do anything like drill holes, cut, etc....and he said, no it just bolted right up.

I bought my TJM bar from a chap who had it on his 60...... He said, he had made 20mm spacers to suit. Am assuming that the chasis legs for the 60 are narrower.

Well.....the first buyer backed out.
The seller called me this afternoon to say the original buyer's "wife made him not want it" (haha).

Good deal, having seen 60 & 80 series ARB's off of the truck, I would have bet they wouldn't be interchangeable. Doesn't even look too bad!
Looks like it fits to me....
Is it just the angle of the pictures or is there a sizeable gap between the ARB and the body of the LX?
On my LX I can't see the AC dryer and other stuff back in there and that bottom bar sits between the headlights and the parking lamp.

I'm glad someone got it and put it to good use. BTW, it was I who backed out of it. I was going to buy it for the wife's 'Cruiser, but she decided she didn't like it for her mall cruising. I want a short bus bumper so posted it up for someone else to grab.

Wow, had no idea the frame horns were in the same location. The 80 bar is shorter and wraps around the sides more than the flat faced 60 bar. I prefer the close fit look, but for that price it's just cosmetics.
