I'll pay your way in if you bring Blimpy's and Tio's.
youre the second person outside of ann arbor to mention something about blimpy's since sunday. weird. weird.
its hard to say. i may come... im half trying to sell it and half trying to keep it, but only time will tell if it stays in the garage or not! ... if i still have it then chances are yes, i may as well join. the gas is gonna suck though....

Is this still on? Nothing mentioned on The Cliffs website, as usual...except for some "find the flag" race on the 23rd?

I just got crossover steering on my 1984 xtracab and a new EFI wiring harness, gonna put crossover steering on Tom's 84 4Runner and weld the rear third, just wondering if the event's still on for this year...we can bring a huge pot of chili...

I'm moving to Arkansas so i can bring a bunch of parts to sell/ raffle, if anyone has any specific things they need, sing out...i'd really like to see some of this stuff get used rather than scrap it...

Yup, still going on.

I spoke with Tom (cliffs trail boss) yesterday, he said the park is in pretty good shape and they now have a couple bull dozers and are maintaining some of the beginner trails.

Ill be heading out there next week sometime to scout the trails and check on the camping situation.

This year there will not be food provided in the park other than the normal snack shack for lunch on saturday and sunday. So bring your grills.

Local food options:
Couple miles East has a subway and whatever else is in down town Seneca (not much)

Couple miles West has Burger King and a breakfast diner and a few other things in down town Marseilles.

A few more miles East or West and you will hit Ottawa (West) and Morris (East), these towns have everything.

This years structure will be somewhat loose. Come and go as you want, wheel as you please. I think its fair to say it should be a laid back event with lots of free roam wheeling.

There are no raffles planned. But if you want to post up what you have, or atleast the nature of parts, or a couple bulk pictures in the IL thread, you may get some takers. ;)

Someone get good footage of whatever you all end up destroying in the sacrafice this year since we won't be there in person only in "spirit" ;)

Todd, Joe and I headed out to meet Tom @ the cliffs and check it out. There are alot of changes! I had the 97 so no trail scouting for me. The access road is very flat and accessible, and the main hill is now mixed up with broken asphalt, anything can get up or down it now. There is also a small rock garden near camp. It will work great for trucks and RC crawlers.

We picked a new camp (the old one is a lil moto track) This one is actually outside the cliffs, just on the other side of the fence. Nice and secluded.

We also found plenty of fire wood. Part of the changes involved alot of clearing. There are several piles of brush and wood laying around. We found one over near the rock garden that is about 80ft x 40ft, 20ft high. Im thinking we need to burn the whole thing with some gas!

Little more discussion here https://forum.ih8mud.com/il-windy-c...cago-toyota-jambo-cliffs-july-22-23-24-a.html
