4Runner tailgate motor into an FJ55?

Pighead had a crazy thought, reading about the tailgate motor problems down in the 55 forum, what with the recent inability to get new plastic gears from the dealer, and people busting little unobtanium parts, "What about putting a newer tailgate motor in to an old tailgate?"
We've can use some 4Runner window rubber on a 55 with just a little trimming, and the one picture that I've found of the guts of a 4Runner tailgate showed some familiar looking pieces...
Wondering if there are any more detailed pics/diagrams of the motor and regulator to help me rule this in or out as feasible.

It's highly possible you could rig up something, as long as you're willing and able to do some fabricating. Five generations of 4Runners to choose from, there's gotta be something that will work.
