45LV Rear View Mirror: OEM or Not? (1 Viewer)

Found a rear view mirror rummaging around the wagon yesterday. Does anyone know if this is an LV mirror? Looks different from the pictures I’m finding in other postings I've seen.

The mounting holes look correct do they line up ? The rest dose not look ome to me.

Yes, the holes line up. I have a mirror from a 65 FJ40 but the holes don’t quite line up with that one. They are off by a couple millimeters.

Are the LV mirrors interchangeable with the FJ40 mirrors of the same vintage?

Yes that is an oem LV mirror. Not sure on the exact year though. Mine is the same and is a 1965.
Pretty sure there were 2 different mirrors used over the LV life span.

Anyone know about how to re-silver their mirror?

The easiest thing is to replace the mirror glass. My Dad cut me a new one and I glued it in.
Any decent glass shop should be able to do the same.
