What: 40's ONLY... any 4X series Land Cruiser is welcome.

When:Sept 9th (unless Jeff Zepp wants to lead?)

Where: Argentine Pass (Open to Suggestions though, last two years were Bill Moore Lake, and Kingston Peak/Barbour Fork).

Meet up: 9am in Georgetown, not sure of a good meeting spot in Georgetown or is there a spot closer to the trail head?

Requirements: Good attitude, good working 40 series, and trail communication like a CB or HAM radio.

If I'm healed up (Fingers crossed), I plan on heading up Friday afternoon or evening and camping up that way. There are a couple of campgrounds near the trailhead, or some dispersed camping right there. I'll figure out details as we get closer and see how I'm feeling.

Looks like I'm going! Anybody else? I know @Pops plans on meeting up there. @Maldavid what do you think? I plan on camping a couple nights up Guenella Pass somewhere, but haven't decided on dispersed or campground. Depends on what is open. Anybody else planning on going?

Working out the details today with one of the Rising Sun members about camping. Right now we will either be up Naylor Lake Road near Guanella Pass, or Leavenworth Creek Road which is the start of Argentine Pass. I'm still working out the details, but plan on being there early afternoon this Friday if anybody is interested in joining Dan and I.

OK...so I plan on leaving late Friday morning and driving up US 50, to CO 9, to US 285, to Guenalle Pass Rd. I'll take this to Naylor Lake Rd (FS 381) where we'll be dispersed camping for the night. I plan on being up there about 3-4pm at the latest. The plan is to meet at the Georgetown Visitor Center at 9am and rolling at 9:30 am. Bring lunch, etc. See the link in the first post for more detailed info.

Take lots of pictures for us none 40s!

Sheryll and I will see you in Georgetown Saturday morning.

The 40s Only Run was a blast this year! We had 16 rigs, everything from a 1963 bone stock to fully modified for crawling, and I think the newest was a 1982. We even had a 1966 FJ45 LV wagon...very cool! Camping was a bit wet, but there were 3 of us who ended up down Naylor Lake Road in tents. I stayed 2 nights, while everybody else did 1. I managed to get the power inverter working and it did what it was supposed to; made the weekend possible! (I believe all I ended up doing was jiggling the wires and pushing the fuse down harder, and the inverter worked.) We went up Argentine Pass Trail, and headed over to McClellan Pass Road. All 16 FJ40s made it to the top and back down. Doug, his wife Sheryl and I were the only ones from Colorado Landcruisers who made the trip up, but it was a blast! Hope to see more of our FJ40 owners at next year's run...
