Hello all, been lurking here a while. I picked up a 1973 40 a few years back and it splits duty as a daily driver with my taco. Great to see some active peeps in the Helena area - probably have seen ya around or met ya at Park Ave. Bakery or Blackfoot or something. Hope to make some meet ups one of these days...

I joined the club a few months ago but am finally getting around to making a post and hopefully going to some meets. Hello everybody, my name's Aubrey and I've got a 1992 80 series that I'm restoring after it was abused by the previous owner, and I'm in the midst of the arduous process of a 2UZ swap (any advice on this is greatly appreciated).
I've lived in Montana just about my whole life (all 20 years of it and counting), born in Havre and now living in Billings since 2009, and I love it here!
I've been into cars for years, I always had a knack for mechanical things, and I'm savoring the painful and beautiful process of restoring this LC80, and I'm also in the process of fixing up a Honda prelude, but I'll save that discussion for another forum.

I'd love to chat with anyone about your rig or whatever trails you've wheeled it on or anything else!
I'm very much new to using web forums, so my apologies if i mess up on formatting or post in the wrong place or anything

Welcome to MUD!
Your project sounds amazing! Stephen over at Overland Cruisers in Bozeman swapped a 2UZ into an FJ40. He'd be the guy to get ahold of.

That's actually hilarious I just talked with Stephen on the phone earlier today! He seems super knowledgeable and was very helpful on guiding me. I'm planning to take my rig and donor motor over to Overland Cruisers to have them get all the technical stuff sorted out for me once I'm done restoring the body and chassis, I'm really thankful there's such an experienced shop just 2 hours from me

Welcome!

I'm also Billings local, I own a 200 series and rebuilt a 100 a while back. If you need a hand wrenching or someone to share a beer with, hit me up!
