Are you sure? I could of swore they where the same. My bad then.

My truck feels like a damn race car on the road. No body roll at all.

Slee springs are way firmer.

I still don't get how the 6" coils are better than the J's they both have the same spring rate. Just one is taller. The J's should be more stable since the COG is lower. There is no way a taller truck is more stable that a lower one. It goes against the laws of physics.

There is a lot more to it than just spring rate. The range of suspension travel as defined by the shocks has a ton to do with how stable the rig is. Plus, a taller coil with the same numerical rate has a higher effective spring rate for the application. It just isn't apples to apples.

I started with OME medium and am now an inch taller (1.5" up front) and the balance my suspension displays in rock crawling is in a completely different class than OME medium.

There is just more to springs than rate - if there wasn't then there would be no reason to buy more expensive springs than OME in order to achieve a superior result. That people go to higher lifts than they had with OME and report back dramatic improvement in suspension balance, stability, and ride comfort should tell you something given every popular lift in the 80 series market uses OME shocks.

FWIW I am using the same spec shock in the J and Slee 6"....OME Ls.

Hold me to it! :)

See ya at the cabin at GSMTR!

Gaurdrail, hellicopter pad, pintch rock, lower and upper 2, school bus....all have our names on it. I only have first gen longs up front so expect some esssploding of birfs. See ya at the cabin...

Oh, and damn those 37" IROKs look good. A 6" lifted 80 on 37's is a beautiful thing.

I don't need 37's, I don't need 37's, I don't...

wagons start to look normal on 37s.......but they need bigger ones. I think 40s would be about right for getting there fat asses over those rocks. ahhh well someday till then I'll just keep spinning those 37s away.

looks good, dan. looking forward to seeing how you like it in some "hairy" situations.
