Newer ideas and after market products maybe. Nothing remains the same mr monkey.

This is an extremely confusing subject found only in the 100 section of MUD. Possibly infecting the Prado and 200 section too? Idunno.

Why? 35's are 35/12.5R17 or R16. Most often including the 315 metric equivalent - only. Not 285/75R17. Not 295/70R18. Most every thread referenced above turns into tech relating to tall skinnies mistakenly being called 35's based on height - not profile.

@ scoonr : You're wanting to fit true 35's? The wider tires most likely around 34.7 x 12.5 .... I needed 2.5" lift, 1" body lift, new UCA's, diff drop, new torsion bars, wheel spacers and pinch weld hammering. Or you could SAS the front which might be close to the same cost DIY. Depends on what your specific needs are and skill level. In hindsight, if I were to start fresh with a pocket full of change, that's what I would do.

When in doubt, call a vendor on here. GL
Thanks shreader. You are talking the same things that i have planned. What are you talking about "SAS"? solid axil setup? I am still looking for parts. No T bars out there where i have looked so far. Did you find a body lift or did you fab your own?
Thanks again.

They do fit. This is the second set of 315/75/16 KM2's I have ran. Just got these today. All I have is adjusted torsion bars, coils, and wheel spacers. I did not use wheel spacers on my first set.

Curious if you could provide a citation for your assertion that 35's only mean 35x12.5 or the metric equivalent (315). Not trying to be a d1ck, just never heard of that before. 285/75R18=34.8"x11.2" 305/70R18=34.8"x12" I wouldn't call either of them tall skinnies, and they are both 35's to me since we all know that 35x12.5's are not really 35" either.

A lot, like myself, don't want skinnies for offroad but actual 35's. Do you refer to 345-75R16 as 37's in every thread? No. Because that extra width requires different modifications to fit on the same rig.

325/60r18 is what i got. They are only 34 but very wide. Guessing 12.5????

I did not know much about offset when i bought them and the wheels but they look like they stick out 2 inch past fender. Probably going to have to tske sawall to my fenders uh?

I'm trying the pretty much the same set up. Same 315 75 16 km2 but with 16" pro comp wheels with -12 offset rather than spacers. After cranking up the torsion bars 2.5 inches, I still had some solid contact with the frame. Did you need to do any trimming or what's your secret? Haha

I had slight frame rubbing but not body rubbing (pinch welds) when I wheeled it with my last set. I did trim the plastic fender liner that sits just behind the front tires. It's about a 4 inch by 2 inch piece of plastic. That's as much as I did.

Update on "35's" (325 70 r18
(In case anyone gas ) I trimmed the bumper about 1 inch, trimmed the back of fender about 1 inch on the bottom angled in toward the pinch weld, and finally bent the pinch welds flush to the fender well. with all that the unit roles on flat ground and turns fully with no rubbing. I also had to adjust the drivers side torsion bar about 6 turns to level the side to side sag it had.
Now I am ready for the suspension parts.
I am going to go with a heavy set up because I will eventually be putting the slee or abu bumper with tire rack on it, and I pull my boat around a bit.
Unfortunately that puts me into the 2.5 inch lift range so I will be looking at the diff drop and possibly the uca's??? I am wondering I would get more bang for the buck with rear control arms since that is where I wanted the heavy duty suspension to start with, does anyone have an opinion on that? I am not real sure what the gain is for either one of them.

do your tires stick out past the fender at all?

I think most people on this forum have the expectation that when they read that something "fits" it doesn't mean, oh and then you maybe need to hammer down a pinch weld and maybe run new UCAs and maybe spacers, etc. I think the phrase you're looking for is "you can get them to fit". :)
Getting them to fit better every day.

The tires do stick out about about a half inch or so. This photo may show tue tire / fended better.

Thats my biggest worry at this poont now. Hope the lift will keep them from hitting when articulating fully. If not i guss i bust out the sawsall again.

What wheels are you running with those tires?

I ran 315/75R16 Fierce Attitudes with stock wheels on my 99 when it was stock. Just cranked t bars a little and smashed the pinch weld.

863 coils and SAW torsion bars helped a lot. So did the SPC UCAs.

Very potent combo and can be pleasant to daily with stock gears.

If you are like me and tow often you'll want 4.88s though.

I'm actually about to fire my 100 build back up since my LX450 was totaled recently.

I was having a old timers minute or two with it. my wheels are 18 x 9 with 12 offset. Found after buying them that 25 offset is min recommended. Stock are 35. Learning a lot a few days to late.......

As far as wheeling i like riding the mountain roads mostly with a moab or two tossed in. Cant explore the uncharted wilderness any more so prett5y much staying on established paths.

That's what it looked like, I ran those on my Tundra and my dad now has them on his. I really liked them and was considering a set, would you mind posting some more pictures?
Sure i will take some when i get back home this evening. Any particular shot your looking for?
