Bull, I said this in another thread you posted, but that is one nice rig.

I'm not decided yet... Q78 vs. 34/9 ... FOR OFF ROAD TIRE...

Im running a set of 33x9.50's BFG AT's with no lift right now and I can stuff them with no problem, do you think it would be possible to run a set of the 34x9.50's TSL's with no lift?

Not without rubbing a lot.

Also consider the 34x10.5 LTB's. Sort an in-between with the Q78 and 34x9.5 super-skinnies.

BFG are know to be on the small side of 33" I think that you will rub a lot!!! if you really flex the truck, if its just going to be a fire road truck you might be ok.

how do these perform on road? I have a set of 31" AT's that I would consider replacing with these to save running 2 sets of tyres (other set is 33x10.5r15 JT2's).. do they flatspot easily if left at road pressure?

I only got about 10,000 miles out of a set on the road. Great off road tires. They do flat spot after sitting for awhile, but smooth out after tire warms up. I like the tall skinny tire.

I put 12,000mi on they last year and about 4,000 the year before i have been DD the 40 this summer. i would say the tire are at about 1/2 tread. So I think that you can get about 25,000 mi out of a set. They do flat spot bad if you let them sit too long, but after about 5-6 mi as speed you are good to go. I have noticed that my rear locker has taken a tool on the rear tires, they are more worn out than the front.

My TLC use boogers 35x16 R15 whit SPOA

can you get the super skinnys in say a 36 or 37...I really like the look, but with right around 4" of lift I think I could fit a bit more than 34 without rubbing if they are going to tuck inside the wheel well...I am currently running 33 12.50's and havent been able to even get the top of the tyre to touch the outter rim of the tub...let alone get close to the wheel well.

I'm running 34x10.5 with a 4 inch lift and they rub inside the wheel wells in back some, and also they rub the tie rod on the steering relay up front.

I'm doing Q78 (36" x 10.5") with about 5" or so with cut rears. Should work pretty well.

I'm not decided yet...

Differences between 34/9 and the Q78...

285/75R16 MTRs weight approx. 50lbs

I'll be the most happiest in the world if swamper do a special tire like 35/9R16... Or if SIMEX do DOT tires...

interco has a few that are pretty close:

Bogger 35x10.5R16
34.8 x 11.12, 66lbs, skid depth 28/32

TSL Q78-16LT
35.5 x 10.8, 66lbs, skid depth 27/32

SSR 35x10.5R16
35 x 11.6, 70lbs, skid depth 21/32

for comparison:

LTB 34x10.5-16
33.6 x 10.7, 59lbs, skid depth 22/32

Special Service TSL 9/34-16LT
33.8 X 9.1, 56lbs, skid depth 27/32
