I have put 33x12.50 on a toyota 15x7. Did wear the center down faster.

A guy that designed an SAS for the GM HD2500 ran 315/75R16 on his stock 6.5" width wheels. As @asuddendeath stated, you will wear the middle portion down more quickly all things being equal in the psi department.
