So to me the big thing is that the 300 series will be from the premier:
1. 440lbs lighter
2. Rear suspension is more vertical
3. Stronger frame
4. Twin turbo v6
5. Interior looks like a lexus lx570
6. The cool box opens in a split like the old gx470
7. Better weight balance distribution.

Looks awesome except it's not going to be in the US.

Chime in.

Roughly 90 lbft more in torque and 30 more HP for the gas engine… that along with the rest of your list is really hard to get mad about. Alas, I’m in the states so it’s a wash for me but I feel like it won’t stay out of our market forever.

Weight loss plus a lot more power lower in the RPM range - it should be fantastic to drive power wise.

Also of note - they made KDSS symmetrical and longer travel - looks like it's mostly more rear travel because it also has longer rear shocks and variable rate rear coils. That's a bit improvement. Kills me that they won't sell the GR sport in North America. Seems like an easy winner.

Edit - pictures appear to show a different rear axle housing (drain plug is on the other side of the diff housing compared to the old one). Did it need a new rear diff for the extra torque? I wouldn't think so, but just something that stood out in the side by side.

What Im hoping is that they skip out a year like they did for the 200 series in the states. I think they didnt build a 2011 or 2010 land cruiser. So maybe one year of none and then build them in the US again.

In the video the guy was testing a 300 series with a left side steering wheel. I believe US and middle east is left side steering wheel. So some hopes!

2012 there was no Land Cruiser or LX570 in the USA. This was because of the tsunami.

Russia and Middle east are LHD, which are the 2 biggest Land Cruiser markets. On the interior sticker warnings in 200 series, you will see Russian, Arabic, and English written which says a lot of who buys these things. (Aus, Rus, and UAE).

On the 4wd selector switch, there are 3 options. I couldn't make out the first option from the pictures. It goes "?", "4hi", "4lo" I believe. Could anyone tell me what that third option is? It looks like a word, like Main or Auto or something.

it says "Push" at about the 18 second mark of the first video there is a closeup (to operate the 4hi 4lo toggle).

love everything about it... when they bring it to the USA as a hybrid (like the tundra) it will likely weigh the same as the LC200 but have more power and torque so I'm ok with that... and have a lower cog. all great things along with higher fuel economy. Shut up and Take my money!

Here is one I saw this morning on FB that might offer better detail.

I found some of the best interior pictures I've seen yet. Looks like what might go into a brochure.
