Sure thing! I'll even provide some fine tobaccy. I added some reading material tonite
and candles for the candle lier. Mooney's Myth and Legends of the Cherokee, Loaded for Bear,
The Red Carolinians, Moonshiners Gone? and Tracking and Reading Signs are the current library contents.
I'm adding a checkers board for the screen porch.

Hmmm....I think that sounds awesome!!! I've been trying hard to get up to David's but haven't been able to so far.

I'm also working on a scotch and cigar party sometime in September for some of Ali's guy friends...you would be welcome at that too.

So I successfully invited myself and a friend to another guy's cabin for a smoke and a beverage...that's awsome! Thanks David!

I'm off work in Charlotte at 6pm (will try to leave earlier). I'll already be loaded for the weekend so I'll leave straight from there. Steve, tomtom's gonna give me directions to your place. I'll pick you up, we'll go to the cabin, have a few, back to your place to crash, and leave early (that's about 11am in beer-speak) for Tellico. Sound like a plan?

Wow, what a deluge last night. The good news is the patching of the tin roof worked.
Nair a leak. Thankfully the floors can continue to dry from the pressure washing.
We really hoped to be able to wait until the cooler weather this fall to install
a new tin roof. So far so good. It sure was a sweet sound listening to the rain
on the tin roof yesterday.

Scored

I found an old hardware store nearby that carries the loc-on mantles for
the Aladinn lamps and some real corks for the jugs. The bar is open!
They also can source some charred wooden casks for whiskey complete
with wooden spouts. $$$ That will have to wait.
They have a source for outhouse pots. I was shocked that a company still makes
pots dedicated to outhouse use. I ordered two. :hillbilly:
They are trying to find me an enameled bowl and pitcher in white for the
wash stand.

David you can buy whiskey casks straight from Jim Beam and similar companies. Some homebrewers in Gville got one from JB and then put 50 gal of Pale Ale they brewed into it to age. I saw it, pretty awesome!

I'm guessing they are still pricey. The one gallon job I looked at was over $100.
I'd want a "virgin" cask to not taint the contents with inferior past flavors. :hillbilly:

I believe they said it was about $200-250, the big problem is you need about 50gal of liquid to put in it otherwise the oak will overpower the beverage really fast.

details

Some detail shots of the doors, hide and hiking staffs, deer head and jugs,
old shotgun and trader knife, native wall, butter churn, and the custom stained
glass of Table Rock. :hillbilly:
Now if I just had visitors. ;)
