Hi, I'm still fighting electrical woes with my 24v 2h. Got my rebuilt alternator hooked up, went through all the wiring, checked grounds, etc. Once I hooked up everything and went to start, the glow light flickered on and off and that was it. It started right up but I didn't have time to dig in until the next day.

Next day the batteries were completely drained. I'm thinking the relay was stuck on. Not sure though. I want to take it to an electrical shop to see if they can test. Does anyone have the schematics for these by chance? The shop will need them to test. Thanks for your help!

The one pic shows the starter relay and the glow plug relay. Just need the glow plug relay and the super glow relay in the second pic.

I recharged the batteries and have the multimeter out just testing things. I cleaned the contacts to the super glow relay (cylinder relay). Hooked everything up and put the multimeter to it with the key off. It shows around 13V on both large bolts. With key on, it drops to 12 and change on both. Should it be showing voltage with the key off?

I'm a HJ60 12V guy but common sense told me that you should have hot wire to the relay in both cases and signal from key cylinder ..

you can test the glow plug with key position ( and extra pair of hands )

I'll start diagnosing again this weekend. If anyone else has an idea of what to check, I would appreciate it. This electrical bug is killing me...

Here's a video

First thing to check is.

With the key off you should only have 24V on contact B main glow relay. When switch is in IGN you activate the glow relay,so you provide 24V to contact g which gives 24V to the coil(connected to ground) .This will result in 24V on contact B and G.
Contact B is the black wire
Contact G is black-blue(stripe)

Filterlight does noting, make a direct 24 lightbulb to busbar to see what the edic does.
The light should stay on a bit longer but something is ok because it is a nice start with glowing for sure.
Maybe take the edic controller out and see for rust inside.
In my hj when the afterglow stops (visible with the extra lightbulb to busbar) the voltmeters rises. (added three voltmeters)

Many test from fsm in link below and fsm pdf too, are you familiar in using fsm, or can you try to find the pages in the link?
