Did you every find a rebuild kit, if so what did you go with? Looking into one too...

Whatever kits are still available are going to be China/Province-of-China kits.

I'd call @cruiseroutfit first and see what they can do for you. You're way better off with Japan-sourced parts, if available. Cruiser Outfittes is in Utah SLC, I believe.

You can still buy most parts new OEM from Toyota still I posted about it awhile with pricing. O think it was only rod or main bearings unavailable.

Found the pic that has two different piston sizes on it.those are msrp prices can be found much cheaper.

Go to your local tractor supply first. I know it sounds crazy but those 2f engines are in a TON of forklifts and tractors, and there's a good chance if you've got a real old tractor supply they would have extra seals and gasket kits, plugs and the sort.

Were OE pistons made in +0.75mm? I have only seen standard, 0.50, 1.00, and 1.50mm. Perhaps they are the OEM ART brand pistons and were available in other sizes than what they gave to Toyota.

FWIW as of 2025:
OEM pistons in standard size will be easier to find in the US ... maybe.
Taiho was OEM for rod & main bearings, they're mostly available depending on the size - but not under the Toyota name.
Toyota cam bearings are available from any US dealer.
OEM pushrods seem to be available in the US and and lifters seem to be available from overseas suppliers.
Otherwise Chinese ITM for everything. I don't think Federal or Melling stuff is available anymore, unless it's sitting on somebody's dusty warehouse shelf.

I have a used camshaft core and two matched timing gears with 140k miles that look good that I would let go of. I also have repops of the timing gear oil squirter for sale - brand new machined out of solid brass rod. I used one in my engine rebuild earlier this year and it works perfectly. I also have a couple of old oil pans and probably some other stuff floating around too if anybody is in need.

I’ve been collecting new OEM parts for a performance 2F I was going to build that’s no longer happening. Including OEM .50 rings and piston through all gaskets oil pan, head bolts,etc….. I am just missing the cam bearings as I was going to send it to delta cams

Just have to go through all I have and post it for sale

I have a set of OE Pistons 1.0 oversize cuz if I ever rebuild another 2f I figure it might as well get maximum displacement out of it.

Yep, I just put +1.00mm pistons in my new 2F ... 94mm. I was just asking the specific number since it was obscured by the plastic or wrapping or whatever that is.
