So I found out that I need to change out my cam. I procured a new cam but need a "new" cam timing gear. Preferably a steel one as apposed to the nylon timing gear.

I believe I have one. Where'd you find a new cam? They are unicorns.

I got one from Amazon. I am putting a tremendous amount of faith in their algorithm...

I have a used set of original timing gears for a 1985-1987 60 series 2F that I can part with Dan. They're in great shape. I'm only getting rid of them because I have a set of NOS, new in the original box gears that I'm using for my engine rebuild.

FYI Delta Cam has Toyota core cams that they can regrind. The one that came out of my spare motor had too much pitting to be usable, so they're using a NOS core, grinding it, and refacing my used lifters (that I mailed to them) for about $300 all in. Not a bad deal in my opinion.
