What's some stuff to watch out for when getting a old winch?

motor, solenoids (easy fix though)

Bring some jumper cables and test it out. Make sure it isn't full of rust. Check fairlead rollers for wear.

I'd look for cracks around stress points (holes, mounts, braces, etc) also.
