As the title reads, my 22re has a pretty ugly skip during idle. The skip is not noticeable under power while driving, but is very evident and frequent at idle.

I have replaced all spark plugs and gaped them properly.
I have new OEM cap and rotor, as well as wires.
Timing has been re-adjusted.

Timing light shows an electrical skip that can appear on any of the plug wires...and the main wire from the coil to the cap definitely reflects the skip.

I'm thinking either the coil is bad (do these ever go out??) or maybe the timing needs to be adjusted one more time.

ANY other ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

No, the truck does not have a lopey sound...even tho i have a .440 lift cam, it should have a smooth idle (22reperformance camshaft).

I may have to check the cap...thats a good idea. could have a bad terminal or something. OH, and no codes at all....or at least no blinkey engine symbol haha.

I don't think theres anything wrong with the MAF, but that's a good idea as well...will look into it tomorrow.

thanks for the ideas guys...anything else yall might think of feel free to drop it by me!!
