I've googled with no luck. I am having a weird issue where my truck misses while going around right hand turns. Only right hand turns, it's fine around left hand turns.

I have no clue what it could be, any ideas?

It's a 1985 4runner with a 22re. Fuel level doesn't matter, does it on full all the way to empty.

Thanks in advance!

Does it only happen when you're moving? If you're stationary and turn right does the engine shut off? Wiring grounding out when you turn right? Steering pulling on something only when you turn right?

Only while moving. And if I push in the clutch and rev it up it doesn't miss, but as soon I let out of the clutch and give it gas it starts again.

Sounds like it's barely running as is and only dies when you get loaded up a bit. Check your plugs/wires/cap/rotor, check for corrosion, arcing and s*** like that.

Last I checked all was fine, but I'll check again. It runs fine though. Actually it runs extremely good, just not while taking right hand turns. And it has a slight miss at idle. Any other time it runs like a champ. It is strange.

Thanks, and I'll get back with what I find out.

Also... Plugs, wires, cap, button, all have been replaced less than probably 8,000 miles ago. I'll check for any issues with connections though.

10-4 on the left turns.

Everything looks good, any other ideas??

I'm going to see if I have another coil laying around to swap and see if any difference is made.

My truck was dying in a similar manner when a leaky windshield allowed water to partially fill up my circuit opening relay. Water would slosh around and it would open or close depending on my cornering or deceleration. Sealing the windshield and buying a new relay fixed it for me. I mounted the new relay " upside down" so if it leaked again it would not fill with water. Installing a paper clip test Jumper in the diagnostic port will help diagnose the relay. Here is a link that will help you diagnose the relay.http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/index.shtml#CORelayLocation

Thank you sir! I will look into that for sure and get back with the results. I checked everything I could and all looks fine, if this doesn't work I guess I'll break down and buy a coil and test that since I haven't yet.

Looking at the CO relay now and it appears to be fine, and it does click off and on when fuel pump jumper is applied and ignition cycled to on position. Also pulled fuel pump to check it. Everything looks fine on it as well.

Still haven't found a coil to swap out and test, I guess I may have to just buy a new.

Also replaced fuel filter again just to rule it out. And I took out each injector for inspection, all looked fine and not gummed up.

I have no idea what this could be. It hasn't always done this. I honestly thought it may be related to my fuel pump/strainer but it all checked out.

I'll be glad to check any other ideas. Thanks again.

Well I broke down and bought a coil, and what do you know? It fixed it! The old on was leaking oil and evidently, it was low and sloshing around and shorting out. Never heard of anything like that causing my issue, but I'm just glad it's fixed now.

Thanks to all who provided help and advice!
