This map shows the poles and restrooms. So Pole 6 is the last pole that is near a restroom and traditionally was the least crowded of poles 1-6. However, we could consider going to Pole 7 or 8 as long as everyone is self contained if you know what I mean.

Pole 6 sounds good to me. Being its my first time to Pismo I'm all about using your experience in knowing the good places to set up!
 
Friday morning I'd like to take a trip to the south most end, which somehow I have never done, and who knows, maybe a better more epic camp spot will be located. However, with Pole 6 being the farthest from the entrance with a restroom I'd say let's stick with tradition and go just south and closer to to the water but above the high tide line.

If any one rents RV's, we might use them as the main wind breaks and stagger our camp sites in a delta formation from there.

I'll be coming up Friday morning, hoping to get to Pismo by 10:00 or 11:00 depending on SmelLA traffic.
 
Sounds excellent. Raise us on whatever comms you are using. I hope to do a little scouting Friday to re familiarize myself so we can do some exploration Saturday.

I assume you guys will be on FRS-01 like ususal? If you plan on HAM let us know what frequency you'll be on.
 
I updated the first post with general info on comms, food prep, and what not.

Saturday day: Likely lunch in the dunes somewhere, so basically whatever one wants to pack and carry. I plan to find the sand drags where we can have the first annual B&T Sand Drags where we will race by class:

- FJ40's and 60's, 80's with 2fs.
- FZY-80's
- 100's
- 200's

Also anyone heard anything about BnT flags??
 
2F drag race? Oh we will have time, rest assured.

I am not sure about the flag.
 
I will be heading out thursday afternoonish due to wife's class in the morning and picking up the RV on the way there. expecting to get there around 7-8pm

Is there a creek crossing or water crossing we will have to do to get to the camp site? Seeing videos online of one and wprrying about the RV
 
There used to be but it was nothing a 4X4 couldn't cross, let alone a cruiser. It hasn't ran in years. If you are bringing an RV, you want to stay on the hard pack until you locate where you want to park it. Then, line it up and gun it. We will dig/pull you out Sunday back to the hard back. That is pretty much the standard process for Pismo RV parking.

Definitely air down the RV tires when you get to the sand.

I think after checking the weather and it not looking like it will be to windy, I'm just going to tough it out in the RTT. Matt's family isn't coming this time so I think he is going to tent it as well, so it looks like your going to be the only one Glamping Glamis!

Not sure if thats a good or bad thing. haha I'm always down to rough it but my mom and my 2y/o nephew probably dont have the same motivation as I. haha
