2016 Four Runner Wheels on a 78 40

I was wondering if anyone has installed a set of 17" Four Runner Wheels on their 40? My friends had a set that she took off her 2016 and I think that they would look great but wondered about fitment. Would I have to run wheel spacers and machine out the center caps?

They should fit no problem but the backspacing will be wrong. You will lose turning radius without spacers.
