It was hot as balls in Hot Springs.
Carnage Report:
Failed starter mentioned above.
Fuel issues on Srob's truck. Filter and injectors replaced and tank drained. Bad gas could have been part of that problem.
Lash ripped a valve stem off. On trail tire replacement using hi-lift...I hate those things.
Jrob blew a heater hose and gave his engine and engine bay a nice steam cleaning. The hose actually only blew off the fitting on the intake manifold. Let it cool off and sat there for 2 f'ing hours while drunk Todd tried to tighten the hose clamp. Consumed all the bottled waters and melted ice from the group to refill the radiator.
Later Jrob found the same fitting leaking again. Engine was too hot to try to address it, so he parked it.
On Saturday afternoon before going out one last time, Chris found a knuckle stud in the parking lot where Debbie had been parked earlier. Upon inspection, we found that it was actually missing two studs. The passenger side steering arm was barely hanging on. He had spares. We got one in, but it turns out the second one was actually sheared off. It's gonna have to be torn down to repair. We dodged a bullet here...we were headed back to Head Banger with plans to finish the day on Ingrid's.
Other non CLC carnage that I'm aware of:
Paul flopped his 80 on some trail across the street. Banged up the driver side some and broke some glass.
Chip broke his rear pinion on Four Fingers, and when they tried to move the truck forward the pinion got wedged into the ring gear. Removal of the semi-float shafts followed so they could pull the third and get the truck rolling again.
Josh broke a rear shaft in his 60 on Gorge I believe.
Good times.
