I too received a donation, and have the donation David received. While I do everything I can to turn the offers down, some folks refuse to allow you to turn it down. Here's my idea: currently, the FS only has three magnets left. I would like to have more of the smaller magnets made for them and us. The difference between us pulling up as John Does, and FS volunteers is significant. I've witnessed it many times. People are much more comfortable letting you help when they see that sign. It would be awesome to have two signs for each side of every vehicle. I say we talk to Rick about it.

I think the door magnet thing is a good idea for our long debated funds.
Here's something I put together - it has a transparent background, so the background would be white on the sign.

Haha! I had the same misfortune of being pulled by a jeep, also after parking out of the way for a while. Luckily, however, my incident was not caught on camera. I also slipped into the ditch after getting out of the way of a big truck on 300. Tracey tried to pull me, but I ended up having to winch out.

In my defense, look how deep that snow is!, and I have a bum arm, and a tree on the roof, and the sun was in my eyes...yeah, yeah that's it...
I was hoping you forgot about taking that picture. But actually there is no real evidence that I got the "Tug-O-Shame"

Agreed. Not sure we're allowed to produce that symbol. Also, the smaller signs seem to not fall off as much, as they don't curl up as bad when they get cold. Food for thought. I think the smaller signs are around 12" high x 10" wide.

Its been awhile, but I think I helped out seven years ago(did some runs back then too). Not currently a member, but I was up there last weekend cutting our tree and experience all the chaos and even pulled someone out. I can help Saturday until mid-afternoon, assuming its okay not being a member.

I remember you David. Show up at the Western gas station at 8:00 or so, we leave at 8:30. We can always use the help. Bring along straps, shovel, tire chains, etc.
About the signs, I did ask Gretchen and she said it would be OK to make signs. We are the biggest user of the signs. There are some volunteers during the year that use them also. Once we make them they might have to be turned over to the FS, that may be up to Rick to make the call. The only time they would be used is during an official trail cleanup or Tree cutting.

Unfortunately, I cannot make it out Saturday. All week long, weather was calling for 1-3 inches or less.... That's just been amended to 3-5 inches, with some calling for more. Once that fresh snow drops on top of that ice snow, it is going to make for some horrible conditions. If you can, please show up on Saturday. I Think we'll need all hands on deck.
Just checked the price on the smaller signs - the earlier price for the large signs was a sale, current price for the 11.5"x8.74" is also $12

Not to worry, Leon, you've been vindicated. The first thing I dragged up a hill last Saturday was a little FJ40 imitation with that 4-letter word on the side. Besides, we all know you Lexus guys have a lot of starch in your straps as well as your collars. In reality, I'm sure you were actually pushing Luke's Jeep...
