I will add that servicing the 3 differentials is easier than changing the oil. The hardest part is taking the front skid plate off. Any semi reputable mechanic could do the work. Do you have any independent shops around that you would trust to do an oil change? If so, check with them.

The work is as simple as: pull the fill plug, pull the drain plug, replace drain plug, fill with oil until it spills out the fill hole, replace fill plug.
Pro tip: always remove that fill plug first 😉

It’s quite likely the front diff fill plug will be quite difficult to remove. Not to say you can’t do it, but it is pretty common to need some extra persuasion.

I agree that Lexus is charging too much for the services though. Any shop anywhere can do this.

A good quality S2 10mm hex on a long handle flex head, few taps of the plug with a hammer, then set your ratchet and give it a few sharp whacks to break it loose.
In the rare circumstance that doesn’t work, it’s time to get out the extractors.

Oh, I agree, but I don’t think OP has a full specialist tool set.

Personally, mine required a weld nut.

I’m just trying to be realistic for the OP.

You may need to re-register the remote start ECU with the immobilizer.
Looks like this was the solution, I took my LX for service today, service tech said he had to 'sync' something and now the key fob is working.

He did tell me to not wait too long between the presses for the remote start to work.

Thank you everyone for helping out with the suggestions, definitely changed the tangent of troubleshooting.
