I was planning on the Pig Roast but I might have to work. Lame. I'll see if I can get my schedule sorted out by then. I will def be at GSMTR. Coming up Thursday and leaving Sunday. I will try to make some other events as my schedule allows.

We're off to a slow start this year but If I'm reading t correctly Mar 15 is our first ever trip to Adventure Offroad. I've read good things about this place.

Just curious if the Sparta trip is still going down? That is the same weekend as the SuperPull of the south in Chapel Hill up here and we are trying to decide what we need to plan on as I don't think we can manage both.

It's not looking likely, seems everyone is getting soft down here or has broken junk.

Getting soft and having broken junk both sound equally bad, especially if the brakes need bleeding...

Or sold their dedicated wheeling rig... Guess that would be included in the "getting soft" that Ted is referring to. :flipoff2:

Also, new job, moving, wife not working has pretty much put an immediate halt to any of our normal "fun" activities. Luckily, she starts back to work next Monday so hopefully in a few months I'll be back on the hunt for another 80. Won't be a hardcore rig like my last one though. Gonna try to keep it more family friendly and it has to remain road worthy.

September is just a few hours away and I was wondering if you guys had finalized plans for the monthly ride. There doesn't seem to be a lot of good info on durhamtown-tellico but it is a nice time of year to hit the mountains. I don't make many rides but I'm available for this trip.

Have you guys been to Gulches? From the few things I've seen, D-tellico may not offer a lot of good truck trails.

I'm down for a trip this month if it gets organized.

As secretary, AKA: King of Ga Cruisers (Probably... I'm still not sure what my job entails), Ive decided we're going to Dtellico on the 20.

Agree in DT, just not a lot of info and for the bigger tire guys doesn't (yet) seem to be a lot to offer. Running NF roads doesn't seem too exciting to me. Been to the gulches but not in a couple years, long drive for a day ride and camping aint so great there. Also small park and un-doable if slightest bit wet.

I'm gonna tell Robert and you're gonna get in trouble.

So what happened to DT??? Kinda disappointing that nobody wants to ride, except TGreco that is, sorry buddy, hopefully see you at the Annual in a month!! Nick deserves a major pass on this one due to being pregnant :moon: -- prayers buddy!!!!!

Waited on interest ... zip, zero, zilch-o, nuthin', with only 36 hrs left I had to tell the wife somehin' so I had to make a decision.

So, in lieu of above and the apparent lack of participants, I'm headed to Chocco first thing Saturday morning, all are welcomed!! Camping Saturday night.

We need a trip report... with so little known about DT it just didn't seem to be a wise investment at this time. $200 worth of gas, the first wheeling weekend I've had in 4 months and the torturous tow over Blood Mountain was just too high a price to pay on a possible bust of a weekend. We also wanted to camp cause the weather is looking perfect and DT doesn't look like they have much to offer.

looks like it's gonna be a small crowd, anyone else?

Thanks Ted! Sorry to everyone about really dropping the ball about posting up the Durhamtown Tellico ride. Between work, grad school, an 18 month old, and complications Miranda has had with her pregnancy, I have barely had time to think of getting on MUD or posting up about a ride.

On a more possitive note, we have heard back from Ralph (thanks to those that have more power than me) and we are good to go on the Annual at Ralph's the weekend of October 18th. Get your trucks ready!

you're not a one man band and deserve a pass for sure, lot on your plate these days!! The issue is not the lack of a thread, it's more the lack of active participants or lack of interest in going. An alternative plan was only hatched b/c of this, that is until Robert posted up this morning. Oops, oh well... next time.

Good news about Ralph's!!
