I think we should do Wheeler lake again but later in the year like we did this year. But Eric, no heeps allowed, unless you can find that chick to drive it for your friend.:)

I think this process would benifit from a gathering at a local establishment. A few good war stories would help to refine the future planning process.

I have seen a pub type place by Costco on N Nevada but I don't remember the name. How about meeting there at 6:00pm on Monday?

Here is how it has worked in the past when we were really organized as an informal committee to plan the schedule. The committee met at a local establishment and planned the schedule. It usually took two meetings but it can probably be done in one meeting if we bring our calendars, maps, and prepared thoughts and are ready to make some decisions.

I recommend we (the committee members) plan the planning meeting at or just after the Christmas party . Then we can meet and plan at least for the first couple of months in 2011 and report that back to the club so that we are organized and ready to go for Jan. and Feb. trail runs. If we can put together the full year's schedule, that's even better and we can report that to the club for comments and discussions in January's meeting. It's good to hear the club's comments in the monthly meeting to get a better overall view of things and to correct the committee's blind spots.

If the committee desires to get together right away, I can support that on any evening except Thursdays.

It looks like the list is comprised of Chuck, Luke, Karas, and me (Vic). If anyone else wants to be involved, please say so immediately. Thanks.

I RECOMMEND THAT WE PLAN JANUARY'S TRAIL RUN AT THE CHRISTMAS PARTY SO WE THAT GUARANTEE THAT EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT IT AND THERE IS NO CONFUSION.

Vic, 439-9602

Planning January's trial run at the Christmas party will be fine. I put Shubarth down since that seems to have been the standing January trail run.

I'll step out and let it be known that as a trail committee member I will accecpt bribes if you want to see a specific trail on the schedule.

I don't think anyone went to the lime creek/benson cabin trail this year. I am going to do this trail in 2011 weather it's on the list or not. I have kind of been eyeballing that one for a while, but it was during hunting season and I didn't have the time. So are we deciding on monday the 13 at bj's. I should be able to make it.

I'll be in San Francisco next week, guess I'll give my input later.

I will suggest several high altitude pass runs during the summer, including Argentine Pass. Several people have expressed strong interest in Argentine. Another good one is Red Cone/Radical Hill. Both of these are good for camping, as well.

Anyone has any favorites or new ideas, please post up so that the committee can consider them.

Vic

I like Hermit Pass...

I suggest a high pass trip[ in the September time frame to see the trees change. We used to do Hancock / Cumberland / Tin Cup as the leaves were turning.
