are there going to be any available passenger seats with anyone?
They'll find a seat for ya, just plan on showing up. A few years ago we drove 11 hours to get there, I wheeled one time (Chef wheeled my rig more then I did ;p) and I still had a great time!

Bringing a 7 year old girl and can't wait to see everyone again!

Hey guys we don't actually take possession of the property till the 15th of this month. The things I do Know are we will have the park open, we will have the bridge installed, the pavillion built, cabins will be there, there will be a shower facility for everyone and I will be there. ther will be some trails done and alot of uncharted area for wheeling. we are going to be a long ways from Brady so you might want to get hotel rooms in Mason early and we will have a large time.

Things that are up in the air for the park by then. RV sites, septic systems, weather and how many people will be here. look at the Krocks site to see the photos I took on our first trip. We will be posting up the progress as we go but untill the 15th ther just isn't alot we can do.

Later
Randy

You and Shane have sure got your work cut out for ya. I'm sure you'll take some progress pics to keep the 'buzz' going. By the time I get there, I'm sure you'll be more than ready to sit in a chair and pick some tunes with me.

Learned about 100 more songs than last year...seriously!

I'm up for helping out on a work trip. Is one being planned? Got the wife 90% convinced (she likes her daily shower) it will be ok.

Well boys and girls, went out the Katemcy yesterday and lets say you are going to be impressed, we went in to cut the 1 2 and 3 trails and that was hard to do between all the extreem trails. didn't take a camera...they are building a huge camp ground, Pavilion, cabins, restrooms, but it wil be a while for the big stuff.. the old katemcy had one 100 acre granite dome where this place has 10, 10 acre out croppings.. and more, it's still as big as the other, so bring a GPS, you will get lost...just plan on haveing fun.....we broke 4 trucks just cutting easy trails.....its 7 miles out hwy29 on the left...

coming from San Antonio, go through Mason. just past the Dairyqueen take a left at the flasher, that's 377/29 at 5 miles there will be a split, 377 goes left. stay right (or straight) on 29 go 2 miles the entrance is on the left..if you hit Honey creek you went to far.....honey creek has a sign, you can see the granite from the road.. hope that helps...L

I'll ride in the truck bed if I have to! I'll have to check with BKcruiser to see if we're headed out again... via Hammers and Moab of course.

fawk, i can't wait!!!!!!

The fence around the campground is almost complete and most of the magor clearing in the camp ground has been done Via a skidloader. the rest of the clearing will have to be done by hand.

The guys will start erecting the pavillion this next week I hope. Plan is to have a 26x60 pitch roof center with
2 - 10 x 60 sides to make a total of 46 x 60 pavillion that has some eye apeal vs the flat shed roof at old K-rocks, plus it will be a lot bigger. after they get the trusses built we will have a work weekend to put up the trusses/lathes/tin in one weekend. should need 10 or so folks to do that and if more show up then the rest could trim up the trees in the campground. Call /e-mail me if you want to come down and help.

we are in the final stages of planing for the bridge so that should happen soon also. when we get the bridge in we will have a small soft opening for those folks who we think will be willing to be trail-leaders and those in charge of several orginizations that want to have a look to see if the new park will fit their club/ event for the near furture. Probably will be a one day event.

Aproximatly 4-6 trails have been cut and more in the planning stage.

We will adjust the things available at the Roundup so we dont interfere with the meal functions you already have planned. Also this need to be mentioned--- the property owner is doing the concesson stand so any and all patronage will help keep them happy!!
