Hey All,

I am new to the forum as a poster! I have a 2009 LX570 with 207,000 miles. I have owned it for 2 years. Current issue: After refueling today, my Mark Levinson sound/volume control disappeared— No sound and no ability to see the volume number increase or decrease with the dial or steering control. Prior to my ownership of the vehicle, the CD/HDD feature was not functional and remains unfunctional. Up until today, the ML Audio was great! I have read some of the past detailed articles about the ML no audio and about accessing the hidden Service Menu. Using those instructions, I pulled the menu and saw these codes. I could not match them to the charts posted elsewhere. Anyone have thoughts as to what maybe going on? Also, can anyone help me understand the abbreviations in the menu. Thanks in advance!

Maybe check the carpets and especially the channel behind the floor trim at the doors to see if there is any damp

I will do this tomorrow and update. Thank you! Due to an ice dam in the wheel well last year, I did have water buildup in the sunroof and then get down in the door pillars and cause some momentary issues electrically. They we’re much different issues though, more serious. I’ll give that same area a look. It’s probably a good reminder that I need to blow out those drains before hard winter.

It’s certainly possible that the head unit has got a bad capacitor or something. It’s quite common in the amp, but the amp is checking good. I don’t recall any reports of the head unit failing.

Have a bit of a read through

Personally i would do as mentioned. Pop the kick panels off both left and right sides, unbolt the big block connectors and check corrosion and/or broken pins (even better to remove the entire block assemblies to see behind them too to check for any wires broken completely off from rear). If any corrosion, deox and a paint brush to work it in.
If any broken pins, run a jump wire side to side.

Check all fuses both sides while there

Im not sure about left hand drive, but on right hand drive, the left sides very top connector of the 3 , id take particular notice of pin 35 (blue/black wire on rear side, changes to solid blue on front side of connector). This is a radio power wire and so many people have badly corroded or completely broken off pin.

Pins 30 and 31 are amp power, id probe those too after all reconnected, fat blue fat black, these feed from the 2x 30a fuses for the amp in engine bay and go to your amp

Also if you do a code clear in those menus and re run the test, do all the same come right back or only some

Update: Yesterday, I did not notice any easily apparent dampness, but I was unable to do a thorough search. However, twice the sound came back on and then went back off, the volume controls also disappearing with each outage and returning with the sound each time. Then today around lunch time, the sound came back on and has remained with full control. I think the car wash I went through must have forced water into an area that it normally can’t go. Should I have placed the AC on recirculate in the car wash?

I will explore this. This is really helpful. Thank you!
